At Sydney Zoo visitors will meander along open range leafy bushland pathways, immersing themselves in an Aussie Bush Safari. All displays will allow visitors to get up close to koalas, echidnas, wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingos and a range of other unique species. Getting close to our friendly kangaroos, wallabies and emus is a must do experience for visitors to take away that all important “selfie”.

No visit will be complete without a trek through our unique underground nocturnal and reptile displays including bilbies, quolls, ghost bats and Australia’s wide variety of insects, lizards, pythons and venomous snakes.

The Bungarribee Dreaming Experience is delivered by Aboriginal guides and features traditional artefacts and dreamtime stories set amongst bush tucker plants and native wildlife.

The native aquarium will delight guests of all ages with its underwater shark viewing, cute little penguins and an enormous saltwater crocodile.

The entire zoo is easy to navigate with level pathways and no steps, hills or climbs, which will allow access to all areas for every age and ability.

Arriving by bus

Route 729 services travel to Sydney Zoo every 25-30 minutes from Blacktown and Mount Druitt train Stations via Minchinbury.

      • Route 729 service bus stops are located either side of the Great Western Highway.
      • Passengers traveling from Blacktown train station should use Stand E
      • Passengers traveling from Mount Druitt train station should use Stand A

Route 723 services travel to Sydney Zoo every 15-30 minutes from Blacktown and Mount Druitt train Stations on weekdays.

      • Route 723 service bus stops are located on Rudder Street (a little further away)
      • Passengers traveling from Blacktown train station should use Stand E
      • Passengers traveling from Mount Druitt train station should use Stand F

Sydney Zoo was designed to be inclusive for all our visitors. All public areas and exhibits are accessible by wheelchair or mobility scooter. The zoo is relatively flat with wide pathways that span across the zoo, making your visit easy. In fact, we have no stairs in the entire zoo! We will offer stroller and mobility device hire, see below for pricing and booking information.
Concession Cards

We offer concession rates for the following:

  • Full-time students (with photo ID showing a valid date or ability to login to school intranet to show current registration)
  • Pension Card holders
  • Seniors Card holders
  • Health Care Card holders
  • Visitors over the age of 65 (with drivers licence or passport)

Valid identification must be provided at the ticket desk or express entry on arrival. Photo ID may also be required. Please have your cards ready for easy entry.

These discounts are only available to the card holder, all other visitors (including other names on the card) will pay regular ticket prices.

Companion Cards

The Companion Card is for people with severe or profound disability, who require a companion or high-level attendant to provide support in order to participate at most available community venues and activities.

We offer complimentary entry to companions or carers with the purchase of a ticket or membership for the person needing support. Please see the ticket desk on arrival for assistance.

If a membership is purchased, simply present the companion card each time you visit together with the membership digital ticket.

Stroller and Mobility Device Hire

Sydney Zoo offers high quality mobility devices for hire from our information desk at the zoo entrance subject to availability. Photo identification is required. For advanced bookings, please contact our reservations team at 1800 843 966 as availability is limited. Pricing for hire of these devices is below.

Wheelchair Hire proudly supported by Sunrise Medical.

Free plus $50 refundable deposit.

Electric Mobility Scooter proudly supported by Sunrise Medical.

$20 per day plus $80 refundable deposit.

The weight limit on scooters is 135kg based on manufacturer’s instructions. The hire of a mobility scooter is only available to persons with limited or restricted mobility i.e. a person who is not capable of walking large distances due to a medical condition, an injury, pregnancy, obesity or advancing age.

Booking Information
  • Subject to availability – please note that we will send you the voucher or product within the indicated working day(s) after payment. If product is fully booked or sold out, full refund will be granted.
  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • For your information, complete Tour Operator Information including contact details is included on your tour voucher
  • Guests must reconfirm their bookings at least 48 hours prior to their tour departing
  • No refund, If you late or no show on the date of the scheduled departure or commencement time/date.
  • If you cancel more than 10 calendar days prior to the scheduled departure or commencement time/date, there is no cancellation fee.
  • If you cancel between 6 and 9 calendar days prior to the scheduled departure or commencement time/date, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the transaction total.
  • If you cancel within 5 calendar days of the scheduled departure or commencement time/date, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the transaction total. These cancellation terms are subject to change without notice and can be dependent on the individual tour operator/supplier.
  • Please Note: If mentioned above, the supplier’s cancellation policy will take precedence over Crazy Aussie Australia’s cancellation policy. Refer to Terms and Conditions for further information.
